Bridlington is the quintessential English seaside town resort, but there is more to Bridlington than candy floss and donkey rides. Not surprisingly it has a glorious maritime past and an active working harbour, discover its seafaring past in the Harbour museum or take the maritime trail and explore its rich history. From award winning beaches to great sheets of jagged rock emerging from the North Sea, explore the Jurassic cliff top walks or meander around the rock pools below.
Filey is another traditional seaside town, full of charm and history. Filey offers a relaxed atmosphere and is the meeting point for the Centenary, Wolds and Cleveland way. Its rich heritage is contained within the bay and the Brigg is one of nature’s masterpieces.
Day 1: Arrive Bridlington – day at leisure to explore the seaside town, visit Flamborough lighthouse or take the land train to Sledmere House
Day 2: Take a refreshing walk to the RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve and back (or for more adventurous, walk onto Filey!!)
Day 3: Transfer to Filey – day at leisure to enjoy waterfront and award winning gardens.
Day 4: A moderate walk tracing the last leg of the Yorkshire Wolds Way, a superb end to the best of the coast & country.
Day 5: Depart
Accommodation is Bed & Breakfast as there are many restaurants to choose from in both locations. Due to the large selection of accommodation, customers may wish to upgrade to a higher specification.
